Feb 2004Feb 10- Andrew got Botox injections AGAIN today :) He did great as he did the first time... I know there are many who are following this story so again here's the link!
March 2004 BOTOX
March 10th, Updated on Botox.... boy did Botox kick in. Andrew is nice and loose but not too loose. He's getting school PT as well as private PT 2 times a week and we have already seen a difference. He's getting stronger each day and walking straighter. We have a Botox follow up on March 17th so I'll post more then.
March 17th, We went to Boston's children hospital to see Dr Nimec (she's the one that did the Botox both times) She was pleased with how the Botox was working. She wanted a night brace to be made. It's of a hard cast, he picked soccer balls on the brace :) We also got his feet casted for new SMO's braces. We will go back up to get those April 1st. He picked to have the logos of "The New England Patriots" and "The Boston Bruins" to be added to his braces. He wanted the red sox logo on the braces but we were told that the baseball team wouldn't give Children's Hospital the rights to use their logo.....how sad is that??? I think I SHOULD write a letter to the baseball team's coach!!!
June 2004
June- Andrew is now out of school for the summer. He did not get summer school once again, but that's ok we will do plenty of fun stuff with both boys. We also got him fitted for a new knee brace (right knee) b/c the other one got to small. He has grown and looks taller just from the Botox. Andrew is doing GREAT since Botox he walks better all the way around and is getting stronger he still get PT once a week privately. Now that school is out we might go up to 2 times a week.
Aug 2004
Aug- Nice summer wish the weather was warmer though but oh well. Our 12 yr dog (a Sheltie) "Sheldon" passed away last month at home and we have been sad! But Andrew is excited for school to start which will be Aug 30th. He will have a clinic apt Aug 25th, hopefully all will go well.
Oct 2004
Oct- We lost our second Sheltie her name was Casey, she too was 12 yrs old and is very much missed! We took in a lab/mix that needed a good home after he was abused, we named him Eddy :) Andrew turned 9 Oct 30th! And we went out to a arcade/bowling place, no balloons that day! It was fun!
Dec 2004
Andrew continues to be healthy. But Shane our youngest has been sick since Nov with a cold/cough and now asthma like breathing which is yuck!
