Update on Andrew
January is National Birth Defects Prevention Month
Jan 2006
Patrick is on the "wellness" group that will assist the school committee on making a new allergy policy to have in place at all the schools in town. Although this will take the rest of the year we are being told it should then go in front of the school committee in Sept 2006.
Back brace update: Andrew is sleeping in his back brace each night it's a bit of a pain to put it I'm just praying it will help keep his curve from getting worse! School is out and Andrew is looking forward to a great summer
Neuro testing: Well too much info to write out here some good, some bad, some ok and lots of info we already knew. BUT all that matters is that most of Andrew's problems that the school kept talking about is SB typical and fine motor, vision and learning problems need to be addressed in school for middle school to be a well productive time for him.

School is out and Andrew is looking forward to a great summer.

Andrew got Botox re-done this month. PT will start in about 10 days and last 2 months. His back brace no longer fits and I made sure I told the Dr how unhappy I was with it only lasting him 6 months. Ins will not allow a new one until 1 yr is up.

Andrew got fitted for new braces still AFO's but these are going to be the BEST braces EVER for Andrew I can feel it in my gut! These will have a shin plate to keep him from bending his knees.
Sept 2006
Andrew started MIDDLE School WOW 5th grade came FAST! So far so good, everyone is very nice and he still had the same woman as his one-to-one aid. Best get ready for MORE home work lol The new braces are working out GREAT too. I need to take pictures of them to get them up on here.
