Kaileigh Mulligan Program- Call 1-800-408-1253
In Massachusetts, the Kaileigh Mulligan program, pays for medical services for eligible severely disabled children up to age 18 through Medicaid. Such children must have an ongoing need for medical and nursing services that can be provided in the home. Children may currently be living in an institutional setting or be at risk of such placement for an extended period. Once a child is determined eligible, he/she can live at home while receiving those home-and community-based services currently provided by the medicaid program. Eligible children will receive full Medicaid benefits which includes assistive technology, and be assigned a Case Manager to coordinate benefits and service delivery.

The program is established pursuant to 42 USC 1396a(e)(3)), which allows for the child's Medicaid eligibility determination to be made without regard to the financial circumstances of the parents-only the child's income and assets (if any) are counted, and no premium payments are required.
