Isn't he such a cutie pie??

This is our precious son Cole.  He is one of six children in our family, two of whom are adopted from Korea. Cole joined our family last summer at nineteen months of age. He was born January 96. When Cole arrived he did not walk at all, but crawled like a madman. After several months of PT and a nifty little walker he took off flying and hasn't slowed yet! He delighted us last fall by taking his first steps independent of the walker. He has now progressed to running and climbing small steps. He is a very happy child who surprises us each day with his dogged determination to do all the things we were told he could not! Cole has a shunt that, knock on wood, it seems to be functioning beautifully. He is the light of our family, decidedly the family clown. His, language, which has caused us some concern, has seemed to suddenly blossom so we feel blessed all around! We are so thankful that he entered our family. He brings a special brand of joy! He is cared for dually at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida and the Shiner's Hospital in Tampa. Cole wears little Cascade DAFO's . He can walk just dandy with out them, but tends to bend his knees when he stands. These keep him from rocking back on his heels and give his just enough support. It seems like we tried every form of AFO's made before we settled on these.
I am always be happy to meet other parents and share information about adoption. We recently added a daughter to our family. Addison is ten months old and also from Korea.

Thanks Susete,  love, Bruce and Michelle Foster.
